Castle Siege
How Castle Siege works in MU Online S3: registration, preparation, mechanics, roles and tactics.
Castle Siege Cycle
Guild Registration
Guild Master registers through the Guardsman NPC in Valley of Loren.
Sign of Lord Submission
Guild members submit Sign of Lord / Mark of Lord to increase ranking score.
Guild Selection
Top guilds (commonly top 3) are selected for the official battle.
Castle Preparation
Current castle owner repairs gates, upgrades statues and places defensive NPCs.
Siege Battle
Attackers push through the castle to reach the Dragon Tower and register the official seal.
Castle Ownership
Guild holding the seal when the timer ends becomes the castle owner.
Key Areas
Valley of Loren
Main open PvP battlefield outside the castle.
Castle Gates
Defensive structures blocking the attacker path into the castle.
Guardian Statues
Must be destroyed before attackers can access the Dragon Tower.
Dragon Tower
Final objective. Contains the seal pedestal and the two foot holders.
Foot Holders / Switches
Both must be held by guild members to enable seal registration.
Seal Registration
Seal registration is the heart of Castle Siege. All conditions must be met simultaneously:
- Two guild members hold both foot holders / switches
- Guild Master clicks and holds the pedestal
- Guild Master must remain alive and uninterrupted
- Both switches must stay controlled during the full registration
- Fail state: Guild Master dies, moves, or switches are lost
Classic registration time is ~30 seconds. Private servers may change this value.
Life Stone
Purpose
Life Stone acts as a forward respawn point for the attacking guild. Instead of running from the starting area, dead players respawn near the castle.
Classic Recipe
- Jewel of Bless × 5
- Jewel of Soul × 5
- Jewel of Guardian × 1
- Jewel of Chaos × 1
- Zen fee

Common Mistakes
Registering too late
Missing the registration window means the guild cannot participate at all.
Not enough Sign of Lord
Low submission count reduces ranking. Collect early and submit as a guild.
Alliance formed after registration
The alliance must be formed before the Guild Master registers. Late alliances are not counted.
No Life Stones as attacker
Without a Life Stone, dead players respawn far from the castle. Prepare multiple Life Stones before the event.
Enemy Life Stone left alive too long
Defenders must destroy attacker Life Stones immediately — every second of free respawn strengthens the push.
Guild Master fighting instead of waiting
The Guild Master dying delays or ends the seal attempt. Stay safe until the room is clear.
Registration before both switches secured
Without both switches held, registration will fail immediately.
Switch holders chasing kills
Leaving the switch breaks the registration. Hold position — let the kill squad deal with enemies.
